Background:
Recent research by specialist historians has shed light on the different gaps in the history of the Château de Valeyres. We now know that, in the 16th Century, a certain Jacques De Galléra was owner of the land where the château was built. It was through succession that the property came into the ownership of Albert Manuel, who built the house in 1630.
