An expressive Pinot Noir, dominated by the fruitiness for which this variety is known. An elegant wine, with soft tannins and a very pleasant freshness.

Background:

Long cherished by the Morel family this wine has always been vinified with the respect deserved by this renowned grape variety distinguished by its bright red colour.

As with the Baron blanc, the Cuvée du Baron is named after the former owner of the Château de Valeyres, Baron Charles Victor de Bonstetten (1745-1832), Bailiff of Nyon from 1787 to 1793. The château was his summer residence until he was forced into exile in Denmark following the independence of Vaud.
